St. John of the Cross was a pivotal pioneer in the area of soul transformation, and upon his death bed he had but one request: to read to him the Song of Songs, from the Songs of Solomon. It is the passion of the lover longing to be united with the Beloved. To this end, to be united with the one, not heal the physical conditions of his life experience was his journey.
