In most every culture and religion, tradition is regarded as important and vital. Tradition contributes a sense of comfort and belonging. For many, it can offer an excellent context for meaningful pause and reflection.
While there is immense value in recognizing the significance and importance of one’s particular traditions, understanding that there is an evolutionary need for continuous growth and expansion within each of us is vital. Providing space to honor all that came before this moment, as well as allowing for the expansion of new thoughts, beliefs, and traditions, is vastly important to our growth as a species on this planet.
At Oneness, we value the teachings, universal principals, and traditions that have come before this moment, and we are constantly searching to expand our thoughts to embody an even greater and grander understanding of that which is God, Universe, or Spirit.
As our senior minister Reverend Brian puts it, “Oneness isn’t trying to be something radically new or staunchly traditional. We seek to take the good from spiritual community of the past and refresh it with the conscious revelations of modern times.”
